Merry Mondays - Here comes Santa Claus!

This is by far, my favourite!
When I thought about this design in my head, I didn't think it could turn out as well as it did! Without meaning to sound too up myself :)

The thought behind this was literally waking up this morning and realising that Christmas day is a week away! So Santa is coming soon! Also, seeing that its my last week of work before Christmas, I wanted to do something a bit more festive, as I get quite a few comments from my customers.

What I used:
(left to right)
  • Barry M - Red glitter
  • Avon - Deluxe chocolate
  • Avon - Liquorice
  • H&M - Dust and Diamonds
  • Dotting tool
  • Cheap white
  • Sally Hansen instadry - Beige
  • Revlon - All fired up
  • OPI - Rapid dry top coat
  • Revlon - Good coin
So, are we all getting excited for the big day now?
All organised?

Marshmallow topped muffins!

It's frosty and cold outside, and you just want to stay in, have a cuppa, snuggle up, and have something nice. So these cute little marshmallow topped muffins are great!

I've had the pictures in my folder for a while now, and the cakes have been eaten and enjoyed! I thought today would be a good day to share a baking post with you.

You will need:

  • 8oz of self raising flour
  • 8oz of stork, or any other soft spread. I'm using Tesco's own soft spread as you can see, and it works just fine!
  • 8oz of caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • A splash of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
To Decorate:
  • Icing sugar
  • Mini marshmallows.

Firstly, put all your dry ingredients into your mixer. (flour, sugar, baking powder)

Melt your butter, and add all your wet ingredients (melted butter, egg, vanilla, and splash of milk), and mix.

Make sure all of it is mixed and there's no dry ingredient left.

Grab a tablespoon, and pop 1 into each of your muffin cases.
Now its time to bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, for around 20-25 minutes.
But keep an eye on them!

When they are springy in the centre, and a golden colour, they are ready to come out of the oven, and be aloud to cool for at least 30 minutes before icing.
Then, your ready to decorate!
Obviously you can decorate these however you like, but to give a bit of a different look, I decided on mini marshmallows. Which, I must say was a yummy treat to have on top!

And there we have it. My mini marshmallow topped muffins!
:)

What's your favourite thing to have on top, or in muffins?

Merry mondays - Its time for the lights!

The second merry Mondays now, and isn't December just going so quick!

I thought this week, as the title suggests, its time for some decorations.
Seeing as most people will have there decorations up now, why not add a bit of this to your nails?

This is my take on fairy lights, and instead of using plain colours for the lights, I switched it up, by using glitter nail polishes to add a real touch of sparkle!

Here's what I used:

- Left to right:
  • Barry M, Gold glitter
  • Barry M, Red glitter
  • Primark beauty, purple/silver glitter
  • The cheap white you've all seen!
  • Art Deco, Silver stripper
  • Models own nail art pen
Hope you all enjoyed this weeks merry Monday!
With not long left till Christmas, what are you planning to do with your nails?

Merry Mondays - Jack Frost!

Hoorah! Christmas nail art series is here!

Yes my dears, it is now December! As the title would suggest, my Christmas nail art series will be every Monday, including Christmas eve, which I will feature the Christmas nails I shall be wearing :)

Hope you enjoy!

Very much a models own theme here... And a very.com theme too, as that's where I bought all of these!
You all know the price of the nail art pens by now, as they've come up many a time on here.
The blue polish is a newby, which will be featured in a upcoming video soon! It's called 'Beth's Blue', and I paid £5 for it.
Its such a pretty, icey, wintery blue! But would also be a nice pale blue for summer too. Actually it wasn't even me that picked this out, it was Tom! So that's always a plus when your other half likes a polish too :)

That's the first Christmas design then guys!
Hope you enjoyed :)

What other Models Own Polishes can you recommend for Christmas mani's?

I am alive!

Hey guys!

Sorry I've not posted anything in a while. My life has taken a turn for the busy side this past week!
I've redecorated my room, started new (more!) hours at work, and been Christmas shopping, decorating and wrapping! Not to mention sorting out two kittens, that have fleas! Again!! -_-

However, along with buying gifts for people, I had to buy some bits for myself too :)
I've been trying out a few new products too, and will have reviews, posts, and videos all up soon!

Also, on the subject of videos I do have a YouTube channel too, and I'd love to have you subscribe. Check it out here!

I will be back soon :)
